Mike Kilgore  Mike Kilgore uses aluminum and steel in the creation of carefully composed welded metal sculpture.  Mike teaches advanced welding, sculpture, and ceramics at nearby Cabrillo Community College, and also creates his own work.  Mike's pieces add new meaning to the term "twisted meal."  His sculptures consist of both static and kinetic pieces.  A spinning metal construction mounted on a tree stump  graces the curbside outside his home.  The piece pictured above is carefully balanced, and wobbles back and forth with a gentle touch.  The weight and balance of the various elements is a definite consideration in the creation of the piece.
