Steven Lunderg
Steve Lundberg's glass creations reflect the skill and professionalism of their creator.  Steve produces decorative and functional glass artwork at his well organized atelier on the west side of town.  His work includes vases, perfume bottles, and ornamental objects in a variety of styles.  Some pieces have the rich luster and subtle pattern of Tiffany glass, while others contain complex illustrative scenes.  Steve has been working with glass since 1973, and his work is exhibited worldwide.  Steve has perfected  the torch working technique, in which layers of glass are fused using a torch and slender glass rods.
Steve works with a number of assistants, including his son Justin, to create his highly detailed and carefully crafted glasswork.

I first encountered Steve's work at the Sausalito Art Festival, and was pleased to get a chance to see his studio, and to see him in action.
Many of Steve's pieces reference flowers, plants, and animals.  Some of his most striking pieces contain arrangements of rich green grasses against bold black and white backgrounds.  One of his most striking pieces is pictured here, (above left) and contains a complete and wonderfully realistic jellyfish set in a teardrop shaped glass casing.
