Take Care
bronze, granite, steel, and flint sculpture, 48x17x7
Anthony's sculpture combines a number of elements to tell a story of environmental caution.  The piece consists of a cast bronze sculpture of a ragged tree and a chainsaw, mounted on top of a rough granite column.  The tree is surrounded by a number of steel rings, perhaps representing  rings used to spike trees against the chainsaws used to cut them down.  The isolation and ragged state of the tree gives the viewer a feeling of desperation,  and a sense that little stands between our dwindling forests and the saw.
